I'm back!!!! Survivor!!!!

Hey, hey!! I'm finally back!!!! Camp's over!!! It was eventful, with some good, some bad... Well, mostly bad.... (with only 5/100% good...) Here's what happened...

Our campsite was at S'pore Dairy farm, which surprisingly, was not the dairy farm you would have expected. There were no cows, nothin' related to Dairy, actually...

1st day
The first day we got there, it was about lunchtime. We had rice and stuff. So like, after lunch, we went to change for the nature hike down Bukit Timah hill. Supposedly to be the highest point in Singapore. We climbed higher and higher and after 3 hours of non-stop hiking, I finally broke down. Then after a rest, we got back on the trail. Then when we almost at the summit, Melvin and Mendel started racing up! In all the excitement, Melvin threw his bag against the the rest stop at the summit and his water started spewing out! He reached the top first, but he had no water. Who did he look for? Me! He finished my water! And I only took a few sips! Then the best part? Five minutes after just finishing my water, he asked me, "Do'ya have any water?" I was like, "Dude, you've got nerve! You finished my water, then asked , if I have some more?! You're insane!"

After that, on the trip down, half the team walked down faster than us. When we stopped for a break at the rest stop, the other half of the team had already walked off! Before we even got to the rest stop! There were 2 separate roads, one leading back to the campsite, the other leading to some other place... Turns out, the other half of the team took the wrong route! So trainer Wayne ran off to get the team back, and without thinking, I was like, "I'll follow you!" And I ran off. After running for what seemed like 2 miles, we finally caught up with them. After a lecture we got back on the right trail... Then it was pretty much boring the rest of the day.. Except for dinner. Again, we had rice...

2nd day
The second day, after breakfast(which was rice, again...), we had to clean up the dorms as our "area cleaning" exercise. When we went to one of the dorms to clean up, we saw a large three-way crack that ran from the wall to the floor to the ceiling. Then I was like, "Is it just me, or are the cracks moving?" Turns out, the 'cracks' were actually ants! Spread out all across the floor, ceiling and the wall! I was like, "Man, I'm glad that's not my dorm..." Then after that, was the adventurous part of the camp. We had abseiling, cross-rope-challenge(CRC), and some other exercise where we had to climb up a few storeys, stand on an insanely small platform, and jump across and reach a hanging vertical pole a metre across. I wanted to do the "flying fox" (Zipline), but couldn't.

For the abseiling, I climbed to the top of the tower, peered down and nearly collapsed. I was nervous at first, but after a while, It felt okay. But bad thing was I always pictured abseiling as pushing yourself off the vertical platform while sliding down. So, I kicked off the platform. Bad move. I kicked off, swung around, and hit the platform square in the face, before getting stuck up there!!! Pathetic right?

Then, next came the CRC. We were supposed to climb up a pole reaching three storeys, walk on 2 thin wires across an area of a few metres, and we had nothin' except a piece of rope to hold on to! If we looked down, we would see the 2 thin wires, our feet, and the ground 3 storeys below us! When it was my turn, I reluctantly climbed up the pole, and stood on the insanely small platform. My method was to not look down, look all the way across to the other platform, slide my feet across the wires, and sing my favourite songs.
So i was sliding my feet across the wires, singing "Here I am" by The Explosion, "Why not me" by Locksley, and "Night drive" by All American Rejects.(Those songs are available on my playlist) And surprisingly, I managed to cross without fallin'!

Then next came the "Pole-jumping" exercise. After climbing another three storey high pole, I stood on the insanely small platform, looked down, panicked, jumped off, grabbed the pole a metre away, lost my grip, and fell. But the restraints I wore blocked my fall. After that we had lunch. Guess what we had? Rice! again! After that, it was the song session. We were singing insane and hilarious songs. It was fun, except for the part where me and my roomates got in trouble for taking jokes too far... Then, it was games time and then dinner, and yes, it was R.I.C.E. After that, we had the campfire! It was fun and enough to keep me awake...

3rd day
It was the last day of the camp, and Terrance woke up so early in the dorm that he got bored, so he woke me up! He flashed his torchlight at me and woke me up. I was like, "Ugh, Terrance, it's 6:48 Am, we're supposed to wake up at 7:20! Go back to sleep..." But it was only short-lived. Barely after 3 seconds, he flashed his torchlight at me again! Then, I realized that the "brave" Sin Hai actually attempted to sneak into the girls's dorms! (Applause) but, sadly, he failed...After Breakfast, (Rice), we had to do the final clean up, and then some prize presentation thingy before we went home...

But wait, there's more!

Trip home
This was the real HELL... When the bus brought us back to school, we all dropped off and went home, but some of us stayed on for a while... For the whole camp, I didn't bring my wallet nor my phone, so I couldn't communicate or buy anything... So I borrowed a phone from a friend and called my dad. Turns out he was still at work! So I had to get back myself! I had no money, no phone, I was malnourished and I was lugging three heavy bags! So I borrowed just enough money from a friend for a bus trip back. And as one of my weaknesses was peer pressure, I followed Jordan, Shi ming and Sin Hai to another bus station instead of the one I usually go to... And after waiting for 25 stinkin' minutes, the bus I could take finally arrived.

But, that was not good either. When I got on, and paid my fare, the bus driver looked at my height, and I guessed he thought I was an adult because he was like, "I'm sorry, this is a child's fare, please pay another 10 cents..." I was thinkin', "What?! Dude, I'm only a secondary 1 student!" (8th grader!) I was about to tell him that, but after remembering how I was literately 'chased' out of the bus the last time, I just releuctantly stepped out of the bus. I was like, "Great, now I've got no wallet, no phone, and my bus fare was taken away, without me on the bus! (I didn't bring my wallet because on my last camp, I nearly lost both the wallet and phone). I looked up in the sky and said, "great, what else could go wrong?!" As if by response, the sun shined even brighter! I just walked off in an angry manner. I was thinkin' to myself, "great, no money, no phone, malnourished, lugging three heavy bags and now I have to walk back 12.5 miles to get home! But luckily, I caught up with Sin Hai because he followed us for no reason and now he was heading back and we both walked back to school to think off my next move to get home. On the way there, we saw some gangsters and I whispered, (half to myself and half to Sin Hai) "Please, I'll join your gang, just give me enough money for a bus trip back." That's how desperate I was. But I didn't mean it, of course. I was just jokin'... Luckily, Sin Hai was kind enough to lend me some spare cash for a bus trip back... But when I got home, I realized More bad news. The guitar had been rigged! One of the guitar cords snapped! Now it's busted! I was like, "What the F***?! My siblings busted the guitar?! Man... Bad day...
